Storytelling in Education

Our regular work in infant and primary schools generally takes the form of a half or whole day storytelling to children in year groups, each group usually being entertained for approximately 40 – 50 minutes.

Story performances are dynamic and interactive, and dependent on the audience numbers will often involve the children becoming actively engaged in the stories. For example, playing the ‘seven beat trail’. The main aim of these activities is to encourage recall, creation and recreation of stories and most important for children to have fun.

Maggie and Susan draw on a wealth of global literature, both traditional and modern to meet the requirements of each educational establishment.

They also tailor stories by arrangement, to meet individual settings needs, with regards to themes and projects.

Half Day session costs: £190.00

Whole Day session costs: £300.00

10% discount on consecutive day bookings.

Whole School Performance.

In addition StoryRoots ‘One hour’ storytelling performances are very popular with schools to celebrate the end of term and special occasions.

Performance cost: £150.00

Small Groups

30 minute storytelling session to small groups, e.g. community pre-school, or single year groups.

For distant locations travel expenses may occur.
