Maggie grew
up telling stories – to anyone that would listen, including some pretty tall
ones to get out of the endless scrapes she shared with her two elder
brothers! Now normally children grow
up….but Maggie was determined this wasn’t going to happen to her – and so far
she has succeeded!
However,

Maggie owned and managed her own Montessori kindergarten for sixteen years.
During this time, however pressurised her days, she kept regular time each day
to spend with the children, engaging in music and story sessions. At any time,
an observer may have spotted the
children either listening with rapt attention as Maggie told a traditional, or

they crafted their own stories, or
engaged in imaginary adventures around the story area, totally absorbed in the

instantly, and StoryRoots was the natural outcome of this liaison.
These days
Maggie’s professional development is predominantly focussed on The Art of
Storytelling, which she pursues avidly at every opportunity. She has
participated in courses at The School of Storytelling in
To the present
day - Maggie knows that the secret of staying young (at heart anyway) is to
spend as much time as possible doing something you love – and what better way
than to share stories with anyone that loves to listen!!!
Maggie
lives with her husband on the Beds/North Bucks border. They have two adult
daughters.
