Workshop: Promoting Children’s Listening Skills and Language Development Through Storytelling

(This can be run as a full or half day workshop)

In this workshop delegates consider and experience how children’s listening skills and language development may be enhanced through shared experiences of storytelling.

Methods used include:

Activities to help children develop their vocal range and develop vocal muscles.

Story Sharing:

Improvisation – weaving story rounds with children.

Using props to help children to take ‘ownership’ of the story – they will recall and repeat many times.
